The National Centre for Knowledge on Men's Violence Against Women (NCK)

Training and Education

To be able to treat and care for women subjected to violence properly, it is important to gain an understanding of men's violence against women. This is why training is one of the cornerstones of NCK's work – regionally, nationally and internationally.

NCK organises continuous training for different personnel categories and courses at university level. Read more about the available courses and register (in Swedish).

For students and professionals

NCK's training courses are aimed at both students and professionals who meet women subjected to violence in the their work. Doctors, psychologists, nurses, midwives and social workers are a few examples of the professional categories trained by NCK.

Contributing to undergraduate studies

NCK regularly contributes to different undergraduate programmes at university level such as the nursing and midwifery programmes as well as the medical training at Uppsala University.

Contract education

NCK arranges a large number of training courses on contract basis for other authorities and organisations, meeting their specific needs by providing expertise and lectures. Many of the lecturers work within patient services and can talk about experiences from their daily work.
